During regularly scheduled office hours, a medical assistant handles phone calls concerning medical problems, medications, or lab results. Please assist them by providing complete information regarding your medical concerns. They will confer with your physician and advise you of any recommended actions.
After regular office hours and on weekends and holidays, please contact the numbers provided at the bottom of this page. A 24-hour answering service is available for emergency calls and concerns. Your physician and his associates share coverage and are available for after-hours emergencies.
If you need a medication refill, please have your pharmacist call our office to request the refill. Medication refills are called in only during office hours, unless it is an emergency. Narcotics and pain medications cannot be refilled after office hours.
Following diagnostic tests, you will be notified promptly as soon as our office receives your test results. If you do not receive results by one week after the test, please call our office for the results.
Fees and Billing:
Office charges reflect services provided by your physician , the medical assistants and the costs of supplies and other tests. Professional fees for hospital services include an initial evaluation and consultation, daily visits, and charges for any surgical procedures performed. Please feel free to ask about fees before services are rendered.
Office Charges and Co-payments:
Charges and co-payments are due at the time of service except for those managed care programs that must be filed prior to billing patients for any coordination of benefits, non-covered services, or deductibles. Statements are printed and mailed monthly.
We will file insurance claims for all office and hospital charges. Note that you, not your insurance company, are responsible for payment of your account. If we have not received payment from your insurance company in a timely manner, you will be expected to pay your balance promptly. You will then be responsible for collecting reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Our business office staff will be happy to assist you in any way.
We accept most major insurance plans. Pease bring your insurance card at the time of your visit. We are not a Medicaid/Tenncare provider. Most insurance companies now require pre-admission certification prior to hospital admission. Some also require that services be provided only at designated facilities or only by Participating Pysicians. You should be aware of any similar provisions in your policy and notify us immediatly.
Please have primary care physician schedule your appointment if your insurance requires a referral. These must be obtained prior to your scheduled office visits. We cannot see you without this authorization.
We look forward to working with you!
